Sitaare Zameen Par Box Office Collection Day 3: Aamir Khan’s Film Hits Rs 59 Crores in Opening Weekend

New Delhi: Aamir Khan’s film Sitaare Zameen Par, his return to the big screen after three years, is slowly gaining momentum at the box office. The movie earned 59 crore rupees over its first weekend, starting with a modest opening of 10 crore rupees, according to Sacnilk.

Analysing The Earnings From The First Weekend

The film’s earnings saw a big jump on its second day. On Sunday, June 22, it made 29 crore rupees, pushing total collections to 59 crore rupees domestically.

On Saturday, June 21, the film earned 20.2 crore rupees, doubling its opening day total. Opening day on June 20 saw an initial collection of 10 crore rupees.

Positive reviews and strong word-of-mouth played a key role in boosting its numbers.

According to Sacnilk, the Hindi version of the film had around 58% occupancy in theaters on Sunday afternoon. These figures rose to over 72% in the evening shows. The night shows saw about 47% occupancy.
