Return of Sunita Williams: After overcoming the difficult re-entry through Earth’s atmosphere, the astronauts from the Crew-9 mission splashed down in the Atlantic Ocean, marking the conclusion of their trip.
NASA astronaut Sunita Williams has safely returned home after 286 days in space, 4577 orbits around the planet, and a flight of 195.2 million km.
The astronaut, who travelled to orbit with colleague astronaut Butch Wilmore for eight days, had to spend nine months in zero gravity when the Starliner spaceship she flew to space experienced several mechanical issues.
