On Wednesday, March 19, gold prices in India jumped to a new all-time high, surpassing ₹90,000 per 10 grammes. Rising Middle East geopolitical tensions, uncertainty around international commerce, and anticipation of the US Federal Reserve’s monetary policy decision are the main causes of the spike.
On the global front, spot gold hit a record high of $3,038.90 per ounce before stabilising at $3,035.12 per ounce.
