Co-founder of Infosys Narayana Murthy has reiterated his support for a 70-hour workweek and emphasised the value of hard work in advancing India. He encouraged young Indians to have lofty goals and put in a lot of effort to assist the nation escape poverty while speaking at the centenary celebration of the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Kolkata. In order to develop infrastructure and generate income, Murthy emphasised the necessity of compassionate capitalism and the development of jobs.

Murthy urged young Indians to understand their responsibility in fulfilling the vision of India’s founders. He argued that global respect for India comes from its performance, not just its history. “Performance leads to recognition, recognition leads to respect, and respect leads to power,” he explained.
