Operation Sindoor Live Updates: The Indian armed forces successfully thwarted attempts by the Pakistani military to target several military installations across 15 cities in Northern and Western India using drones and missiles on Thursday night, as reported by the Defence Ministry. Additionally, a Pakistani air defense system located in Lahore was destroyed.

The Pakistani military’s targets included Awantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bhatinda, Chandigarh, Nal, Phalodi, Uttarlai, and Bhuj. The ministry stated, ‘The debris from these attacks is currently being recovered from various locations, confirming the Pakistani assaults.

These events unfolded shortly after India launched 24 missiles within 25 minutes at nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), including Muridke and Bahawalpur, which are known strongholds of the terrorist organizations Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), in retaliation for the terror attack in Anantnag, Jammu & Kashmir, that resulted in 26 fatalities on April 22. Reports indicate that over 70 terrorists were killed and more than 60 injured during the strikes, with JeM leader Maulana Masood Azhar asserting that 10 of his family members and four associates perished in the attacks.
