India retaliates after Pakistan attempted to strike military targets on May 7-8 night, neutralising Lahore’s air defence system.

Pakistan launched drone and missile assaults on several Indian military locations in Northern and Western India, including the cities of Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, and Chandigarh, during the evening of May 7–8, 2025. India’s Integrated Counter-UAS Grid and Air Defence systems effectively detected and neutralised these strikes, and debris from the incident confirmed Pakistan’s involvement.

 

According to the administration, it has been reliably learnt that an air defence system in Lahore has been neutralised.

“Indian response has been in the same domain with the same intensity as Pakistan.”

 

According to the administration, Pakistan has intensified its unprovoked shooting across the Line of Control in regions in the Jammu and Kashmir sectors of Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri, Poonch, Mendhar, and Rajouri utilising mortars and heavy-calibre artillery.

Pakistani shooting has claimed the lives of sixteen innocent people, including three mothers and five children.

“India had to react here as well in order to stop Pakistani mortar and artillery bombardment. The Indian Armed Forces reaffirm.

 

In the early hours of Wednesday, a series of pinpoint attacks killed more than 100 terrorists. According to authorities, it is difficult to establish an accurate number of terrorist casualties at this time because the operation to seek revenge for the Pahalgam terror incident is still ongoing.

Nine major terror camps in Pakistan associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen were the targets of the Indian Armed Forces’ strikes. 

Five of the targets were in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), while four targets were inside Pakistan. Four terrorist camps at Bahawalpur, Muridke, Sarjal, and Mehmoona Joya were the focus of the security forces.

Markaz Ahle Hadith Barnala in Bhimber, Markaz Abbas and Maskar Raheel Shahid in Kotli, Shawai Nallah Camp, and Markaz Syedna Bilal in Muzaffarabad were the five additional PoJK areas on India’s target list.

In the meantime, Pakistan has intensified its unprovoked shooting across the Line of Control in regions in the Jammu and Kashmir sectors of Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri, Poonch, Mendhar and Rajouri utilising mortars and large calibre artillery.
